UNION IMPACT will launch in Japan October 30th, 2020. The cards from it will be combined with NEW EVOLUTION and ULTIMATE POWER for the English format, spread across Special Boosters 1.0 and 1.5.
“Not only will Digimon that can evolve from 2 colors appear, but so will effects with 2 colors!”

The October issue of V Jump magazine (out on the 21st) leaked early this morning, showing illustrations from Booster Set 3: UNION IMPACT. The issue confirmed the name of the set, which was leaked by Amazon late last month, and the release date of October 30th, featuring the same art of Blitz Greymon found on the leaked booster pack art. V Jump promises that Digimon with “effects that activate when revealed as Security Digimon” will appear, as well as both Digimon and card effects belonging to two colors.
The theme of Booster 3 is Jogress Evolution, evolution from two different Digimon that was originally introduced in the Digimon Pendulum series virtual pets. (The issue makes note of where it came from.) The TCG represents Jogress as a Digimon being able evolve from two different colors. The set includes Paildramon, a Perfect-level Digimon that can evolve from Stingmon or XV-mon—their colors are not explicitly confirmed in the issue, but they’re most likely Green and Blue, as in the Digimon TCG so far all Insect-type Digimon are Green and all Mythical Dragon-type Digimon are Blue.
The issue also includes illustrations of Mastemon, Lilithmon, Blitz Greymon, and Terriermon. Mastemon was introduced in the video game Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth as a Jogress of Angewomon and Lady Devimon (and thus probably evolves from Yellow/Purple) while Blitz Greymon is one of the components needed to Jogress into Omegamon Alter-B or Alter-S, of Digimon World -next 0rder-. The other component, Cres Garurumon, is on the cover art of the set.
Terriermon’s art presents him with Chocomon, the Baby II form of Lopmon; the two have often been presented as a pair since their debut in the double-feature film Hurricane Touchdown/The Golden Digimentals, where they were the double partners of a single Chosen Child. The illustration could be hinting at a potential Jogress combining the two lines, but the existing Digimon canon doesn’t have one specifically made for them, and so far the TCG has not introduced any new Digimon in its own right.
Given Mastemon’s inclusion in the set, and Booster 2: ULTIMATE POWER‘s introduction of Re:Digitize-themed Taiga and Rina Tamer Cards, it’s possible UNION IMPACT will include a Mikagura Mirei Tamer Card. Other potential Tamer Cards include Motomiya Daisuke and Ichijouji Ken from Digimon Adventure 02 (associated with Imperialdramon, the set’s cover card) Wallace from Hurricane Touchdown/The Golden Digimentals (partner to Terriermon and Lopmon) and Tsuzuki Shouma of Digimon World -next 0rder-. (Partner to Omegamon Alter-B.)
