Bandai’s promised teaching app for the 2020 Digimon Card Game is now live on Google Play and the App Store. The Android/iOS app features two short tutorial levels explaining the rules of the game, followed by three open-ended free duels with an AI using preset decks. While the first two duels are scripted and played with full 50-card decks, the last three allow the player to try a 30-card “half deck” version of the three Starter Decks launching this April. The app is currently only available in Japanese.

The half decks usable in free play are missing several cards, including Angemon and Angewomon, Gaia Force, and Cocytus Breath among others. However, the app also revealed several previously-unseen cards from the Starter Decks:

The revamped portal for the Digimon TCG announced an upcoming Android and iOS application that will teach players how to play the 2020 Digimon Card Game from the palm of their hand. Although not available yet, preview images show a full graphical interface displaying the entirety of the game from the Memory Gauge to the Raising Area.

A launch date has not yet been announced, but it is known that the app will use the three initial Starter Decks and have a Free Battle mode.
